How to enable ads.txt file

    Advertisements are the primary source of income generation in blogger and the ads can be of many types and there many ads provided to help publisher to make money from their blog. Hence it is very necessary to check the authenticity of the ads that are shown on a particular website. 



The Verification of ads can be achieved by extra texture file knows as Ads.txt file

Ads.txt is a fraud prevention file that helps ensure that only authorized people are representing your ad section. The entire ad industry is adopting this new measure, and we need to get this file set up on your site ASAP in order to prevent any potential revenue impact. So that it cannot decrease your chances of reducing revenue in your website or blog.

This file will need to be updated periodically. You will be able to tell if it is out of date by checking your dashboard and looking at your Ads.txt site health.  It is required to check the file regularly for the updation.

Google Blogger has implemented a fix that makes this super simple to install and setup. Here are the Setups to setup the ads.txt in your website

Set up an ads.txt file

  • Sign in to Blogger.
  • Under Settings, you have to scroll down below.

  • Here you will find a column named as Monetization.
  • Click on Enable custom ads.txt file.

  • Click on Custom ads.txt and paste you desired ads.txt file which you have recieved from your adsense account on approval.

Additional Tip

  • Optional: To check the content of your ads.txt file, go to http://(yoursite.com)/ads.txt

Once you followed all the instructions and done setting up your Ads.txt then the health check should turn Green within one day.
